	The fencing venue for the 1988 Summer Olympic games, the arena seats 7,000. It is covered with an insulated, yet translucent fabric clad Cabledome roof system with a clear span of 93 m engineered by Geiger Associates. This roof structure was the second Cabledome system built in the world. The facility received the prestigious IAKS Silver Medal for "Facilities for International Events" in 1989 in an international competition.
